Boone Sinclair is a hallmark Diana Palmer hero: tall, strong and handsome. A businessman and a rancher, Boone had it all—except for Keely Welsh. The first time he spotted her on his property, he was determined not to let her get away from him. The lovely beauty would be his.…

What Customers Say About Heart Of Stone (Silhouette Special Edition):

I always have trouble waiting for the next book. I love Diana Palmer books. I have read every book that she has written and until I moved, had all of them. I enjoyed this book even though it has a recurring theme that all her books have-young girl meets jaded handsome guy. It stills make for good reading.

When I pick up a Diana Palmer novel, I know that I am in for a very good story. I really enjoyed this book by Diana Palmer. I can read and re-read this story and never get bored of it. I thought the story was well crafted, the characters strong (she's thrown in enough intrigue concerning one couple for me to want to see a book written about them) and the ending very satisfying. Diana Palmer has a formula - strong, Alpha male; virginal, sometimes scarred heroine; anatgonsim; twist (heroine is usually in danger - physically, emotionally etc), Hero steps in, saves the day and happy ending.Diana Palmer's formula works - how else would she have sold over 100 million books worldwide. Very well crafted, Boone and Keely are a wonderful couple. Formulaic, but it works.

A story that captures your attention. Diana's characters are real life, and the dialogue she used made me feel as if I knew them. A must read for the readers who like a great, and clean romance and suspense novel.

The characters were easy to get into, the passion was exciting - there was a point in the middle that the book drifted a little too far into another story line, but it eventually played into the main characters in a good way. This was the 1st Diana Palmer book that I have read - and i couldn't stop reading it. It was incredible. I read this book in about a day and I would recommend to anyone who loves a good cowboy love story. Can't wait to read some more of her books.

That's two stars. For the final thing I look for in a book is a good ending. I swear all the men in that town basically hate women. In romance, there is a happily ever after. The women who fall for them have self-esteem issues. This story didn't have any. And even though her mother is an abusive drunk and father is a criminal, she's a Christian with high moral. I am sure there are readers who love this stuff.

A star is removed from the five star rating since I don't believe it. Keely, the heroine, is poor. No one can come out of that situation as perfect as Keely. On the plus side, author excelled once again in giving me clear characters. That would have been a happy ending to me.

This book is part of the Jacobsville, Texas series. I'm just not one. Another star is removed.Since I suffer from A.D.D., having a book that lacks dry spots is very important to me. There were plenty of angry spots, but that's not how I rate books. That's one star. The next thing I look for in a good story is the plot. When Boone kissed Keely at the dance, she should have planted him one with her knee and walked off. Boone Sinclair, the hero (not) of the story is rich. I think it's always, right.

Considering how short the book was, each character, including the minor ones were well defined. I don't think a romance story with a verbally abusive hero is my idea of a good plot. In this case, it would have been better if there wasn't. So I can't possibly give a star for the unification of any woman with a bully.
